The speculation about genetics and diet could be looked at another way. Let me add your quoteso others may follow the discussion.
Evolution doesn't really differentiate in choices between long lived animals or short lived insects, in the short term. If you are looking at the long term, perhaps it would be better to design humans to be more like cockroaches, who have outlived dinosaurs, for instance. Just kidding.
>It is possible for evolutionary mistakes to be made, as far as the lifespan of the individual is concerned. If the evolutionary ancestor to both humpback and dolphins had filled the niche to the max, this would force the evolution of the dolphins to adapt to a more abundant food source, even though it meant that the dolphin would not live as long as it's now evolutionary cousin.

Science of the PRANA Water
Let me explain a little more about PRANA Water, so you can apply that information to your and mother's situation. This is a relatively new product (since April of this year) so there is no long track record of trials and tests to point to. The experience of people taking the water is always positive, but from a scientific standpoint, this must be considered only as anecdotal evidence. Practically speaking, there are some people that are reluctant to drink the water, even though they have bought it. If your were to buy the water without consulting your mother first, she may be one of those people that refuse to drink the water. In that case, you will have wasted your money. Second, the changes that are made are incremental. There are small changes every day, but from week to week, these are still small changes. So to see a real benefit, the person drinking the water must continue drinking over a relatively long periods of time (months versus days or weeks) For example if you look at the video of my face from week to week, it is hard to detect the small changes going on. It is only when you compare the first and last picture that you see the magnitude of the change. The change continues. I am waiting to see if the hairs in my head all go back to being black. I am waiting also for the short hairs that are re-growing to finally appear in the camera picture. Will they be black as well when they grow out? Inquiring minds want to know. The re-growth is uneven, I don't really know why. I mention these things because the product is so new. I would like to test some of these speculations by doing the full scientific routine. I would like to stat by testing on rats and mice. There is a lot of research already being done, so this type of testing could be compared to those results. If it was possible, I would actually like to test the water on rats that have almost exhausted their lifespan.Or rats that have been genetically engineered to have cancers, and see how long it takes to develop the cancer, if at all.
